Sheffield United Eyes Disgruntled Fenerbahce Winger Kent

Ryan Kent, whose Fenerbahce stint has fallen short of expectations, appears on the cusp of a return to the English Premier League with Sheffield United circling according to Aksam.

The 27-year-old winger, signed without a transfer fee from Rangers at the start of the season, has struggled to find his spark in Turkey. Now, Sheffield United has thrown him a lifeline, reportedly holding a meeting with Fenerbahce and presenting a formal offer.

The Blades seem eager to make Kent their own, prepared to “force all conditions” to finalize the deal. This eagerness could be key, as Kent’s current contract with Fenerbahce runs until 2027.

Despite starting 15 games this season, Kent has managed only a single goal and two assists – a far cry from his Rangers performances. His Premier League pedigree, however, remains undeniable, having previously shone for Liverpool and Bristol City.

Fenerbahce would not block a January exit and do not have long term plans for the winger.

Kent is under contract until 2027 so Fenerbahce would demand a transfer fee but could be willing to strike a deal to free up his wages.

For Kent, a move to Sheffield United could offer a chance to reignite his career. For the Blades, acquiring a disgruntled but talented player like Kent could be a shrewd investment.

Regardless of the outcome, one thing’s clear Ryan Kent’s future lies far from the Bosporus.
