Guler’s development hasn’t yielded regular starts at Real Madrid but that has been down to injuries which ruled him out for the first half of the season.
With only three appearances and 76 minutes played across all competitions, his need for increased playing time is evident.
The Turkish international has made a full recovery and is a part of the first team squad but has yet to really make an impact in the team since returning last month.
Spurs see Guler’s versatility as a valuable asset, potentially serving as an understudy to James Maddison. Regular Premier League football could accelerate his development and benefit his overall growth.
The decision rests with Real Madrid. Do they prioritize Guler’s development with a loan, or integrate him into their midfield plans?
While Guler’s talent is undeniable, his future remains unclear. With interest from Tottenham and potentially others, loan options could provide the playing time he desperately needs.
Only time will tell if Real Madrid will sanction his departure and allow him to flourish elsewhere.
Despite being linked with a Real exit several times already this season the Spanish giants rejected all previous transfer stories and made it clear they have plans for the midfielder.
Guler will be hoping to play today from Real Madrid take on Girona at home in the La Liga. If he does play it will be his four appearances in all competitions this term.
