Victor Lindelof’s future at Manchester United appears uncertain, with reports suggesting the Swedish defender is not part of manager Erik ten Hag’s plans.

The 29-year-old, a key player at times during his seven-year spell at Old Trafford, could be on his way out, with Turkish giants Galatasaray reportedly keen on acquiring him according A Spor.

Lindelof’s playing time has been limited this season due to injuries and the emergence of a strong partnership between Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane.

His departure could be the first of many changes in United’s backline, with question marks also hanging over Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans.

The Red Devils are reportedly looking to reshape their defense and are said to be targeting a top-quality center back.

Several names have been floated, including Everton’s highly-rated youngster Jarrad Branthwaite, Juventus’ Gleison Bremer, and Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo. Signing Branthwaite, however, could prove difficult with Everton demanding a hefty £70 million fee for the 21-year-old.

Bremer, at £51 million, presents a more experienced option, while Todibo, at 24, could be a good fit considering United’s ownership ties to his current club Nice through the INEOS group.

This summer transfer window promises a significant defensive overhaul for Manchester United, with Lindelof’s potential move to Galatasaray just the beginning.

Galatasaray are also looking to strengthen their defence this summer as they plan for another potential Champions League campaign if they win the league title this season.

The Lions are locked in a title race and are currently first in the Super Lig four points clear of second placed Fenerbahce.
