Arda Guler has revealed his goal at Real Madrid after getting his first La Liga start over the weekend against Real Sociedad, scoring the winning goal in the 1-0 victory.
Carlo Ancelotti, known for his masterful man-management, can sometimes be hesitant with squad rotation.

While this approach brings out the best in his players, it can also lead to limited playing time for some. One such player at Real Madrid this season is Arda Guler, a summer signing who hasn’t seen the field as much as anticipated.
Despite fending off Barcelona’s interest to sign Guler last summer, injuries sidelined him for several months.
Although fully fit since late November, the Turkish international has only received a combined 160 minutes across La Liga and the Champions League – the joint-lowest among active senior players (tied with Eder Militao, who suffered a season-ending injury early on).
However, following a standout performance against Real Sociedad, where he scored the winning goal, Guler spoke to KAFA Sports about his ambitions at Real Madrid. “My biggest dream here is to become the first Turkish player to win the Champions League,” he declared.
Guler’s statement highlights his hunger for success despite limited playing time. It remains to be seen if Ancelotti will give him more opportunities, but Guler’s determination suggests he’s ready to make his mark when called upon.
The Turkish international also revealed his surprise nickname in the Real camp: “Everyone in the team calls me ‘Abi’ (older brother in Turkish). I am surprised when Modric says ‘Abi’ or something.”
Guler has been linked with a Real exit due to lack of playing time but Turkish-Football reported that he has no intentions to leave and wants to fight for his place in the team.
It appears the 19-year-old may finally have got his big break in the Real team.
