Galatasaray, on course for the Super Lig title, are already planning for next season. A key target appears to be Manchester United’s Casemiro, also reportedly on Fenerbahce’s radar according to Aksam.

Presidential hopeful Dursun Özbek, expected to run in the May 25th elections, has reportedly agreed on a contract extension with coach Okan Buruk. Strengthening the midfield is a priority for Buruk, with Casemiro topping his wishlist.

The 32-year-old Brazilian reportedly desires a return to his natural defensive midfield position and Champions League football, potentially making him receptive to leaving United.

Galatasaray’s strategy involves convincing Casemiro first. If he shows interest, they will negotiate a transfer fee with Manchester United.

Reports suggest Manchester United are also considering a summer squad overhaul, with Casemiro potentially on the chopping block. Galatasaray aim to capitalize on this situation.

Özbek views a potential Casemiro signing as a boost for both Buruk and the Galatasaray fanbase. The race for Casemiro’s signature could be heating up, with Fenerbahce also interested.

The Lions faced United in the Champions League group stage this season taking four points off the English giants.

Galatasaray are currently first in the Super Lig, four points ahead of second placed rivals Fenerbahce with just a few games remaining until the end of the season.
