The stage is set for a thrilling clash between Turkey and Portugal at Signal Iduna Park on Saturday, with both teams aiming to maintain their perfect starts in Euro 2024 Group F.

Portugal Rallies for Dramatic Win

Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal had to dig deep in their opening match against Czechia. Despite dominating possession, they fell behind before Francisco Conceição snatched a dramatic stoppage-time winner. Ronaldo, playing in a record-setting sixth European Championship, failed to find the net.

Turkey Soars with Young Guns

Turkey, on the other hand, enjoyed a more comfortable victory in their tournament opener. Real Madrid youngster Arda Güler and Mert Müldür each scored stunning goals in their 3-1 triumph over Georgia.

Potential for an Entertaining Affair

With both teams boasting attacking talent and a willingness to play on the front foot, this encounter promises to be a treat for the fans.

Turkey Lineup Changes

Vincenzo Montella has made several changes to the Turkish side that defeated Georgia. Rising stars Güler and Kenan Yıldız are deemed fit enough only for the bench. Captain Hakan Çalhanoğlu shifts to a deeper midfield role alongside Kaan Ayhan, while Yunus Akgün and Muhammed Aktürkoğlu are brought in on the flanks. Manchester United’s Altay Bayındır replaces Fatih Öztürk in goal.

Turkey confirmed: (4-2-3-1, right to left): Bayindir (GK) — Celik, Akaydin, Bardakci, Kadioglu — Ayhan, Calhanoglu — Akgun, Kokcu, Akturtoglu — Yilmaz.

Injured: Kahveci.
Suspended: None.

Portugal Switches to 4-3-3

Roberto Martinez has opted for a 4-3-3 formation for Portugal, as anticipated despite his earlier claims. Diogo Dalot drops out, with João Cancelo moving to right-back. João Palhinha comes in to bolster the midfield, while Vitinha’s impressive performance against Czechia keeps him alongside Bruno Fernandes. Bernardo Silva and Rafael Leão will continue to provide service for the goal-hungry Cristiano Ronaldo.

Portugal confirmed (4-3-3, right to left): Costa (GK) — Cancelo, Pepe, Dias, Mendes — Fernandes, Palhinha, Vitinha — Bernardo Silva, Ronaldo, Leao.
