Man United Midfielder in Talks With Galatasaray Reveals Club Director

Galatasaray are in talks with Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay according to club board director Ibrahim Hatipoglu.

The Lions have expressed interest, but their financial ability to meet United’s valuation remains unclear.

“McTominay’s transfer fee is being discussed,” Ibrahim Hatipoglu said. “Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is a good player, he has many suitors, he wants to see all options.

“There is no talk of single-digit figures for right-back and midfield transfers. But we have allocated a budget of less than €10million for right-back.

“There is no negative situation regarding Guela Doue [Rennes right-back]. Negotiations are ongoing [for] McTominay and Doue. Wan-Bissaka is not our priority.”

Whether or not a Turkish side have the funds to come close to United’s valuation of the player, however, remains to be seen.

Last year, United rejected a £30 million bid from West Ham, and McTominay was reportedly open to a move for more playing time.

Everton, Fulham, and Newcastle United have also been linked to McTominay in the past.

Despite past transfer interest, McTominay became a crucial player for United under manager Erik ten Hag last season, making 43 appearances due to injuries to other midfielders.

With new additions on the horizon, Manchester United must decide whether McTominay remains in their plans or if they will consider further offers for the midfielder.

Galatasaray won the Super Lig title last season and took four points off United in the Champions League last term.

The Lions will compete n the Champions League again this season.
