İbrahim Ethem Hacıosmanoğlu (pictured) has been elected as the new president of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) during a tightly contested vote at the TFF Financial and Electoral General Assembly held in Ankara.
Hacıosmanoğlu edged out Mehmet Büyükekşi in a close race, securing 134 votes compared to Büyükekşi’s 129.

Turkish Grand National Assembly Member Mehmet Baykan was elected as the chairman of the council, while Cantürk Alagöz, president of Lig 1 club Iğdır, became the vice chairman.
The meeting included prominent figures from Turkish football, UEFA, and FIFA.
Hacıosmanoğlu’s candidacy received endorsements from 16 clubs.
In his victory speech, Hacıosmanoğlu emphasized unity and a new era for Turkish football.
He expressed gratitude to voters and vowed to manage the TFF fairly AND called for the resignation of current board members and promised to build a new team.
Hacıosmanoğlu highlighted the potential of the Turkish national team and expressed his confidence in achieving success.
