Galatasaray do not want to lose their star man but if they do the club plan to receive at least their asking price for him.
Head coach Okan Buruk has made it clear he would like Yilmaz to stay so the final decision will be up to the winger and the board.
The winger is under contract until 2027 so the Lions have a strong bargaining hand.
Yilmaz scored seven goals and 12 assists in all competitions as Galatasaray won the Super Lig title with 102 points and he was also a key player in the Turkish national team side that reached the Euro 2024 quarter-finals this summer.
The Reds are keen to strengthen their attacking options this summer and have identified the Turkish international as a potential target.
Liverpool face competition from Arsenal for the 24-year-old’s signature, with both clubs impressed by his performances for club and country.
Despite the financial challenge, Liverpool are determined to secure the services of Yilmaz, who is seen as a valuable addition to the squad.
The coming weeks will be crucial as both Liverpool and Galatasaray look to reach an agreement for the highly-rated winger.
