Galatasaray have expressed interest in Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson according to A Spor.

The Reds have been relatively quiet in the transfer market thus far, with the pursuit of Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi proving to be a challenging endeavor.

Meanwhile, the club is also considering the futures of several squad players, including Sepp van den Berg who has attracted interest from multiple Bundesliga clubs.

However, the most surprising development comes in the form of interest in Robertson, who has been a key figure for Liverpool since joining from Hull City in 2017.

The Scottish full-back has been sidelined with a shoulder injury during pre-season, but his return to training has coincided with reports linking him with a move to Galatasaray.

The Turkish club are reportedly willing to pay around £25 million for the 30-year-old, who has just over two years remaining on his contract. Liverpool are yet to decide on Robertson’s future, with the club’s transfer plans still taking shape ahead of the new Premier League season.

With the opening weekend of the campaign approaching, Liverpool manager Arne Slot will have limited time to assess Robertson’s fitness and form before making a decision on his future.

The potential departure of the experienced left-back would undoubtedly create a significant challenge for the Reds as they look to build on last season’s fifth-place finish.
