The Foxes are looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season and see the experienced Ivorian as a key addition.
While Crystal Palace have also expressed interest in re-signing their former star, Leicester appear to be in the driving seat.
Zaha has scored nine times and created three assists in 30 Super Lig games last season and he has years of Premier League football under his belt from his time at Palace.
Galatasaray are open to a loan deal for Zaha, who has struggled for regular playing time since joining the Turkish club last summer.
The Lions want a multi-million loan fee and for his wages to be paid in full for the transfer to go ahead.
The Ivorian is keen on a return to the Premier League and is open to joining Leicester.
The Foxes are confident of securing the deal, with negotiations ongoing between the two clubs. If successful, the move would represent a significant coup for Leicester as they aim to challenge for a return to the Premier League.
With the transfer window closing soon, Leicester are working quickly to finalize the deal and add Zaha to their squad.
