Victor Osimhen has joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, with an option for the Series A club to extend his contract until 2027.
The Nigerian striker had been seeking a move away from Napoli after failing to secure a transfer to Al-Ittihad or Chelsea in the summer window. With limited options available, Galatasaray emerged as a potential destination.

Napoli agreed to loan Osimhen to the Turkish club for the season, covering a significant portion of his €10 million salary. The Italian club also retained the option to extend his contract if they do not sell him next summer.
Osimhen’s release clause is expected to decrease from €130 million to €75-80 million next year, making him a potentially attractive target for other clubs.
Galatasaray meanwhile, released an official statement revealing the details of the loan transfer.
The statement read: “An agreement has been reached with professional football player Victor James Osimhen and his club Napoli on the free temporary transfer of the player. The football player will be paid a net 6,000,000 euro season fee for the 2024-2025 season.”
The Nigeria international does not have a clause to join other clubs in January as was misreported yesterday.
The 25-year-old arrived in Istanbul on Monday night to complete his transfer and was greeted by a large crowd of Galatasaray supporters.
Osimhen has scored 76 goals and provided 18 assists in 133 appearances for Napoli since joining the club in 2020.
The striker has undergone his medical and now completed his move to Galatasaray, he will be registered and will be eligible to play after the international break.
