Manchester United Eye Osimhen Despite January Challenges

Manchester United have identified Victor Osimhen as a key target for the future, but a January move for the in-demand Napoli striker appears unlikely.

Sources have told GIVEMESPORT that while the Red Devils admire the Nigerian international, securing his signature this month presents significant challenges.

Osimhen’s €75 million release clause, coupled with his high salary demands, makes a mid-season move financially difficult for the club.

Additionally, the striker is on loan at Galatasaray and the Turkish giants would have to be compensated to agree to his temporary stay being cut short.

The Lions do not want Osimhen to leave and the striker has settled in well to life in Turkiye.

Despite these obstacles, United are exploring options to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window.

The club recognizes the need for additional firepower, particularly after a disappointing first half of the season.

While a move for Osimhen may have to wait until the summer, United are expected to pursue other transfer targets in the coming weeks.

The Nigeria international has had a great start to the season in the Super Lig scoring 13 goals and providing five assists in 16 appearances in all competitions this season.
