The Turkish goalkeeper produced a standout performance, making several crucial saves, including a penalty stop from Martin Odegaard, as the game went to a penalty shootout.

Bayindir saved another penalty in the shootout, helping United progress to the next round of the competition.

Bayindir etched his name in FA Cup history saving a penalty from Martin Odegaard during normal time and another from Kai Havertz in the shootout itself.

Bayindir’s heroics made him the first Premier League goalkeeper on record to save a penalty in both normal time and a penalty shootout in the same FA Cup match.

The 26-year-old, who has been a backup to Andre Onana this season, stepped up admirably when called upon, making several crucial saves throughout the game.

His performance against Arsenal will undoubtedly boost his confidence and solidify his position as a valuable member of the United squad.

“A victory to remember! We never gave up until the end,” Bayindir wrote on social media. “We will keep fighting for this badge and achieving victories together, thanks to the passion of our fans.”

The performance was a significant moment for Bayindir, who has been playing second fiddle to Andre Onana this season.

United will now face Leicester City in the fourth round of the FA Cup, but first, they face Southampton in a Premier League clash on Thursday.

Bayindir has received more playing time since Rubin Amorin was appointed manager.

The Turkish international will be hoping his latest display will help him earn more playing time for United this season.
