Trabzonspor are reportedly set to renew their efforts to sign Southampton striker Paul Onuachu before the Turkish transfer window closes on February 11th.
The Nigerian striker enjoyed a successful loan spell with Trabzonspor last season, scoring 17 goals in 25 matches.

However, negotiations for a permanent transfer stalled during the previous window due to disagreements over the transfer fee.
Southampton initially demanded €7 million for Onuachu, but subsequently increased their asking price to €10 million and then to €15 million, prompting strong criticism from Trabzonspor club president Ertugrul Dogan.
“We had an agreement with Onuachu. We are still in contact. Southampton initially asked for €7m, which we matched,” he told A Spor.
Then they raised it to €10m, so we went up to nine with bonuses, and then they increased it again to €15m.
“So, it became clear they did not want to sell him to us. We will not force a transfer. If the terms do not suit us, we will look elsewhere.”
Southampton’s reluctance to sell may stem from Onuachu’s recent goal-scoring form for the club, including the winning goal in their recent victory over Ipswich Town.
Despite the challenges, Trabzonspor are determined to secure Onuachu’s signature before the Turkish transfer window closes.
However, they may need to significantly increase their offer to meet Southampton’s demands.
