Altay Bayindir is reportedly seeking a return to the Turkish Super Lig after struggling to establish himself as Manchester United’s first-choice goalkeeper according to the Star newspaper.

With Manchester United reportedly pursuing a move for Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson, Bayindir’s future at Old Trafford appears uncertain.

The Turkish international has been linked with a move to Galatasaray, rivals of his former club Fenerbahce.

While Bayindir has shown glimpses of his quality during his time at Manchester United, he has faced stiff competition from Andre Onana for the starting position.

The report claims that Bayindir is eager to secure more regular playing time and may seek a move back to the Turkish Super Lig in the upcoming transfer window.

However, Bayindir has seen his playing time increase since Amorim was appointed manager.

The Turkish International has impressed when given a chance and could be on the verge of gaining more regular playing time after winning the confidence of the manager and the fans.

Bayindir has had to wait a long time to break into the team but has shown a willingness to fight for his place at United.

Bayindir has now played six games this season keeping two clean sheets and is under contract until 2027 with the option to extend his deal by an additional season.
