Besiktas Continue Pursuit of Rangers Left-Back, Turkish Transfer Window Still Open

Besiktas are continuing their pursuit of Rangers left-back Ridvan Yilmaz, despite facing resistance from the Scottish club, according to Turkish outlet Haberturk.

The Turkish side have been in contact with Yilmaz, but the player is reportedly reluctant to leave Ibrox at this time.

Rangers previously rejected a loan offer with an option to buy from Besiktas.

While the Scottish transfer window has closed, the Turkish window remains open until February 11th, leaving Rangers vulnerable to late bids for Yilmaz.

Despite not being a first-team regular under manager Philippe Clement, Yilmaz provides valuable squad depth for Rangers, particularly with the club still competing in the Europa League and the Scottish Cup.

Rangers will be keen to avoid a late departure for Yilmaz, especially given the unpredictability of injuries and the importance of maintaining a strong squad depth.

In other Rangers news, Dundee United are reportedly unhappy with the late agreement for midfielder Lyall Cameron.

Yilmaz is no stranger to Besiktas having joined Rangers from the Turkish giants.

The Black Eagles are trying to rebuild the side for next season after a disappointing campaign.
