Beşiktaş, managed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is reportedly exploring the possibility of bringing Liverpool’s out-of-favour winger Federico Chiesa to Turkey.
The Italian international, whose move to Anfield last summer from Juventus has not unfolded as anticipated, is now contemplating a departure from Merseyside.
Chiesa’s debut season with the Reds was hampered by injury issues in the initial months. While he regained fitness in the latter half of the 2024-25 campaign, consistent game time proved elusive.
Despite this, he notably featured and scored in the EFL Cup final, showcasing flashes of his undeniable talent. With a plethora of European clubs now circling, Chiesa is reportedly considering his options for the upcoming summer transfer window.

The dynamic winger has attracted significant interest from Italy, with AC Milan actively pursuing his signature and Napoli viewing him as a “real option.”
Beyond Serie A, a move to Istanbul could be on the cards for Chiesa. According to Turkish outlet Fotomac, the Black Eagles are “testing the water” for the Liverpool attacker.
New Italy national team coach Gennaro Gattuso has reportedly conveyed to Chiesa the importance of securing regular playing time to maintain his place in the national squad, adding urgency to his situation.
Liverpool signed Chiesa on a long-term deal from Juventus, but his tenure could be brief, potentially ending after just one season. During the 2024-25 Premier League season, Chiesa saw limited action, accumulating only 104 minutes.
With Florian Wirtz reportedly nearing a move to Anfield, Chiesa’s prospects for increased game time in the next campaign could diminish further.
It remains to be seen whether former Manchester United legend Solskjaer can successfully persuade the Liverpool attacker to join his Beşiktaş side in the coming weeks, in what would be a high-profile move for the Turkish club.
