Trabzonspor has successfully finalized a permanent transfer agreement with Southampton for Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu, with the deal reportedly worth €8 million (approximately £6.8 million), sources have revealed to Turkish-Football.
This marks a significant victory for Trabzonspor, who have made securing Onuachu a top priority after his highly impressive loan spell.
The striker is expected to undergo his medical and put pen to paper on his new deal within the next few days.

Onuachu, 31, became a fan favorite in Trabzon during the 2023/24 season, where he netted an impressive 14 goals in 20 Süper Lig appearances.
This prolific form stood in stark contrast to his limited impact at Southampton, whom he joined in January 2023 for €18 million. The towering forward struggled to adapt to English football but has consistently thrived in Turkey.
The two clubs have reached a full agreement on the transfer fee, and personal terms have also been settled.
For Southampton, the sale provides crucial financial flexibility as they look to reduce their wage bill and reshape their squad following relegation.
For Trabzonspor, it means retaining a proven goalscorer who seamlessly integrates into their tactical system, reinforcing their ambitions for the upcoming season. Onuachu is expected to undergo his medical and officially complete the move in the coming days.
