Juventus secured their passage to the Round of 16 in the FIFA Club World Cup, maintaining a perfect record after a convincing 4-1 victory over Moroccan side Wydad CA.
While Wydad displayed commendable desire, they ultimately proved no match for the technical prowess of Juventus, spearheaded by the impressive Kenan Yıldız.

Despite the early kick-off time and the challenging heat in Miami, which manager Igor Tudor admitted impacted the pace of the game, the Bianconeri demonstrated composure and efficiency.
“It was a slightly different match, also because of the time of day which lowered the pace of the game,” Tudor remarked in his post-match interview, published on the official Juventus website. “The opponents had prepared well, but starting with an early goal helped us. In football, however, nothing is taken for granted, and I stay alert even with a two- or three-goal lead. The boys did well, two good wins in a row.”
The match saw Kenan Yıldız once again emerge as a central figure. The 20-year-old Turkish international was instrumental, with his two brilliant goals being the highlights of Juventus’s offensive display.
Although he was denied an official hat-trick due to the opening goal being credited as an own goal – a result of his mesmeric dribbling and near-post shot – Yıldız’s impact was undeniable. His first-half wonder strike and a winding second-half finish showcased his unique talent.
Tudor was particularly effusive in his praise for Yıldız. “Kenan has huge potential, he has rare qualities: he can make the difference up front with the dynamism of a midfielder. He’s a special talent, but it’s his mentality that will take him far,” the 46-year-old coach stated, highlighting both his technical ability and his promising mindset.
With their qualification for the Round of 16 secured with one match to spare, Juventus now turns its attention to a highly anticipated clash against Manchester City. Tudor acknowledged the challenge ahead: “Tonight they will enjoy a free dinner, they have earned it. Now, attention turns to Manchester City, a great test awaits us.” This upcoming encounter promises to be a significant test for Tudor’s developing Juventus side as they look to build on their strong start in the tournament.
