Turkish Süper Lig champions Galatasaray are reportedly reigniting their pursuit of Barcelona’s veteran goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen, according to Diario Sport. This comes after earlier attempts by the Istanbul giants to sign the German international this summer.
Ter Stegen was heavily linked with a move to Turkey earlier in the transfer window, with Galatasaray even understood to have made an initial approach. However, the 33-year-old firmly rebuffed their advances at the time, insisting he was ready to stay and compete for his position in Hansi Flick’s new Barcelona lineup for the upcoming season.

Despite Ter Stegen’s prior reluctance, it appears Galatasaray remains undeterred. As per Sport’s latest report this weekend, after successfully finalizing a deal for their primary transfer target, Victor Osimhen, the board at RAMS Park is now prepared to refocus their efforts on securing Ter Stegen’s signature.
It remains to be seen whether the German goalkeeper’s stance has softened and if he is now more open to the prospect of a move to Istanbul, particularly given Galatasaray’s ambitious summer recruitment and their strengthened squad after the Osimhen acquisition. The coming weeks will likely reveal if this renewed interest can sway the long-serving Barcelona shot-stopper.
