Beşiktaş is reportedly in the final stages of negotiations to secure a season-long loan for Chelsea’s promising young striker, Marc Guiu, sources have told Turkish-Football.
The move is aimed at strengthening the Turkish club’s attacking options and providing a valuable backup for their new star forward, Tammy Abraham.
The pursuit of Guiu aligns with Beşiktaş’s strategic transfer policy under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Having recently secured a major signing in Abraham from AS Roma, the club is now focused on adding young, high-potential talent to complement their new marquee player.
Guiu, at just 19 years old, fits this profile perfectly and is a primary target. His acquisition would also help Beşiktaş meet the Turkish Football Federation’s (TFF) foreign player regulations, which encourage clubs to invest in youth.

Limited Minutes at Stamford Bridge
Since his €6 million transfer from Barcelona in the summer of 2024, Guiu has found first-team opportunities at Chelsea limited. Despite showing flashes of his potential in pre-season, he has struggled to break into the senior squad, making only a handful of appearances for a total of just 71 minutes in the Premier League. His competitive debut for Chelsea came in a UEFA Conference League play-off, but a lack of consistent playing time and an injury setback has hampered his development.
Recognizing the need for Guiu to gain vital experience, Chelsea is said to be fully supportive of the loan. The move to Istanbul would offer him a significant chance to feature regularly in a top European league and compete in the Europa League.
A New Dimension to the Attack
The potential arrival of Guiu would provide crucial depth and competition in Beşiktaş’s forward line. While Abraham is expected to lead the attack, Guiu offers a different profile. The young Spaniard, known for his physicality and sharp finishing, could serve as a valuable rotational option for Solskjaer’s squad. Beşiktaş’s attacking corps has seen significant movement this summer, with reports of players like Semih Kılıçsoy attracting interest from abroad and others like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain potentially on the way out. Guiu’s addition would help to solidify the team’s forward options for both domestic and European campaigns.
Sources close to the negotiations suggest that an agreement is imminent. If the loan is finalized as expected, Marc Guiu is set to become one of Beşiktaş’s most intriguing signings of the summer, offering him a crucial platform to restart his development and prove his quality on a bigger stage.
