In a landmark agreement, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has partnered with media company Bi Kanal to broadcast matches from the Nesine 2. Lig (third tier) and Nesine 3. Lig (fourth tier). The two-season deal, worth 85 million Turkish liras (€1.8 million), marks the first time a tender process has been used for the broadcasting rights of these divisions.

The partnership, which covers the 2025/26 and 2026/27 seasons, will bring unprecedented television coverage to a wider audience. Matches will be aired live on national channels Bi Kanal and Sıfır TV, as well as on their official YouTube channels. The goal is to build a sustainable financial model for clubs and increase the leagues’ visibility.

A New Revenue Stream for Turkish Clubs

TFF First Vice President Mecnun Otyakmaz expressed his confidence that the deal will contribute to the development of the leagues. “Today we are signing an extremely important agreement for us,” he said. “The tender was won by Bi Kanal, which believes in the value of our leagues.”

Otyakmaz highlighted the scale of the operation, with 48 matches to be broadcast live each week and a team of 700 professionals involved. He emphasized the importance of broadcasting revenues in strengthening clubs’ financial stability, allowing them to invest and plan for the future.

Bi Kanal Chairman Bilal Kalyoncu shared his excitement, stating, “We are aware that we are taking on a great responsibility, but we believe that Anatolia is a football paradise.” Kalyoncu noted that the 2. Lig and 3. Lig have a combined following of nearly 30 million people across approximately 60 cities.

He also stressed that the record-breaking deal is a significant step toward promoting Turkish football to a global audience, especially to the large Turkish diaspora in Europe.
