Bilic critical of Besiktas decision to play home games in Ankara

Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic has stated that he is not keen on the clubs decision to play their remaining home games in Ankara.

“I cannot wait for the Vodafone Arena to be built, the sooner we have a stadium the better,” Bilic told Fanatik.

“I would have preferred to play our home games at the Fatih Terim stadium, we are Beşiktaş, we have millions of fans, we have Çarşı, I cannot understand why we could not find a suitable stadium in Istanbul.”

The Black Eagles have confirmed that the team will play the last four home games of the season at the Osmanlıspor stadium in Ankara.

Beşiktaş will face Karabükspor, Gaziantepspor, Konyaspor and Gençlerbirliği at their temporary home.

The Black Eagles have used the stadium already this season as well as the Torku Konya Arena and the Atatürk Olympic, Başakşehir stadium and Kasımpaşa stadium.

Beşiktaş have been unable to play their games at home this season as the Inönü stadium is currently being redeveloped.

The İnonü stadium is currently being rebuilt, the new Vodafone arena will be a state of the art, 41,903 seater stadium.
