Bilic has faith in third-choice keeper

Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic has revealed that he is confident in the ability of third-choice keeper Günay Günveç.

First choice keeper Tolga Zengin is out until the end of the season and second-choice goal keeper is currently out injured for the next few weeks.

“Of course losing Tolga and Cenk was unfortunate but I have faith in Günay, he is a very good keeper,” Bilic told Fanatik.

Zengin sustained a muscle tear injury during the Istanbul derby against Fenerbahçe three weeks ago.

The Turkish international keeper had only just recovered from a previous injury.

Gönen has also been ruled out with injury for three weeks after picking up an injury in training.

Güvenç played the second half against Fenerbahçe before the international break following injury to Zengin.

The 23-year-old has only made two appearances all season and started just once in the Turkish Cup.
