Bruno Alves’ agent hints at Sporting Lisbon loan move
The 33-year-old defender had been linked with a move away from Turkey after falling out with head coach Ismail Kartal following the Intercontinental derby defeat against Galatasaray in the first half of the season.
Alves was sent off for a reckless challenge and forced to train with reserves for a few weeks after the incident.
Kartal and Alves have since resolved their issues and the experienced defender has returned to the first team.
Alves has established himself as first-team regular and has only been left out of the squad once since the turn of the year.
The Yellow Canaries also recently released a statement denying that Alves would be leaving in January despite being closely linked with a move abroad.
The statement read: “The rumours linking Bruno Alves with a transfer abroad are false. Bruno has a contract with Fenerbahçe football club and wants to remain at the club.”
