Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic has admitted that he had to put his path to rock stardom on hold to pursue a career in football management.
The former rock star revealed that it is difficult to try and do both at the same time and that he had to make sacrifices as a result.
“Music has always played a huge role in my life, I was in a band for three years after I retired from playing football but unfortunately this got put on hold when I became a manager, there is not enough time for anything else once you are a manager at this level,” Bilic told Beşiktaş Magazine.
Bilic plays rhythm guitar and is a member of Rawbau, a Croatian rock group.
The band recorded a song for Croatia’s performance at Euro 2008 called “Vatreno ludilo” (“Fiery Madness”).
The former Croatian national team manager is yet to record a song for his new club but Beşiktaş fans have already crafted a song for their head coach.

The Beşiktaş manager took over the club last season.
Bilic enjoyed an impressive Europa League run, remaining unbeaten against English opposition in European competition this season.
Beşiktaş are currently first in the Süper Lig and take on sixth placed Trabzonspor next at the Avni Aker stadium.
