Beşiktaş winger Kerim Frei has underlined that he selected the senior Turkish national team at international level because he feels Turkish.
Frei was born in Feldkirch, Austria but was raised in Switzerland by his Turkish father and Moroccan mother.
The 21-year-old could have played for Switzerland, Austria, Morocco and Turkey at senior international level but opted for the Crescent-Stars.
“I grew up in Switzerland but I always had a close bond with Turkey from a young age, we always used to come to Turkey and I felt Turkish growing up,” Frei told FitStop speaking on NTV Spor.
