Mesut Özil joined Arsenal on a club record £42.5 million transfer from Real Madrid in 2013 but in terms of earnings by weekly wage he is the 10th highest paid player according the TalkSport.
Özil earns £180k-per-week from Arsenal according to the report but that does not factor in what he makes through from sponsors.

The 26-year-old is actually the 12th highest paid player in the world when his off the field earnings are taken into account according to Forbes.
Özil is reported to earn a total of £12.43 million per-season, £8.43 million of which stems from salary and bonuses while £4 million derives from sponsorship.
The World Cup winner is the highest paid Arsenal player in the squad.
Özil’s sports agency – Özil Marketing GmbH represent FC Koln youth players Barış Sarıkaya and Anıl Çapkın both born in Germany to Turkish parents.
The 26-year-old also employs media consultant Roland Eitel and Haimspel, an agency which looks after his Facebook page.
