The news comes amid reports from Mundo Deportivo that the Catalan club turned down the opportunity to meet with Gündoğan.
The Germany international has been closely linked with a move to Manchester United recently but is yet to agree personal terms with the Red Devils.
The Catalan giants are currently under a transfer deadline and have an upcoming presidential election.
Gündoğan’s contract with Borussia Dortmund expires at the end of next season and the 24-year-old has turned down the Bundesliga clubs contract offer.
The in-demand midfielder will make a decision regarding his future “as soon as possible,” according to a statement the Dortmund midfielder published on his official Facebook page.
Gündoğan finished the season with five assists and three goals in 33 appearances in all competitions. The 24-year-old also played a staring role in Germany’s 7-0 victory over Gibraltar on last week.
