The Istanbul giants are also on the verge of completing the signing of fellow United player Nani.
The Fanatik also report that Fenerbahçe could face competition from Istanbul rivals Beşiktaş who are set to offer Van Persie a deal worth €5 million per-season.
Beşiktaş are planning to reinvest some of the €14 million transfer fee from Demba Ba’s sale to Shanghai Shenhua with a replacement striker.
Club board member Yalçın Kaya Yılmaz confirmed that the club are preparing a move for Robin van Persie yesterday.
“If the conditions are right and if he also wants to come we are willing to make an offer even if it would push us to the limit financially,” Yılmaz told HaberTürk.
The future of the Netherlands international at Old Trafford remains in doubt after the experienced striker struggled to hold down a regular spot in the starting lineup.
Van Perise is reported to be considering a move to ensure regular first team football and keep his place in the Dutch national team ahead of the Euro 2016 championships.
