As reported on Saturday United and Fenerbahçe as agreement-in-principle with Van Persie had already been reached last week.
Fenerbahçe sporting director Giuliano Terraneo has been in England to go over the final terms with United.
Van Persie is expected to join for a €6.5 million transfer fee on a three-year deal.
The Italian director also played an influential role in bringing Van Persie’s former United teammate Nani to the club.
Nani completed his €6 million transfer to the Istanbul giants on Monday on a three-year deal.
The Yellow Canaries have already made seven transfers this summer and appointed Vitor Pereira as manager replacing Ismail Kartal who guided the team to second place last season.
