Mario Gomez is set for a £5.6 million move to Besiktas according to a report in the Express newspaper.
According to the paper Gomez is set to sign a two-year deal with Besiktas who have agreed a £5.6 million transfer fee with Fiorentina.
The Germany international has been linked with a move to Liverpool over the past week by the Express. The daily newspaper goes onto say that the Reds are ‘reportedly’ prepared to offer out-of-favour striker Mario Balotelli as part of a deal.
Beşiktaş recently completed the transfer of Ricardo Quaresma but are desperate to sign a striker following the sale of Demba Ba to Chinese giants Shanghai Shenhua for €14 million.
The Black Eagles have also been closely linked with Loic Remy and Dame N’Doye over the summer.
Gomez provided four assists and scored ten goals in 32 appearances for Fiorentina last season.
