Emre Can starts on the bench for Liverpool against Newcastle today in the Premier League.
The 20-year-old midfielder is still finding his feet at Liverpool and manager Brendan Rodgers recently stated that his new transfer could take a while to settle in.
“The players we brought in were not really established. With young players, you get mistakes.” said Rodgers.
“Then there is the lifestyle. You have adaptation, new players coming into a different way of life. When they play on the field then it is different.
Can joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen for £9.75m this summer.
The former Bayern Munich player represents Germany at U21 level but can also play for Turkey at senior international level.
Can was born in Germany to Turkish parents giving him eligibility for both national teams.
