Mesut Özil has expressed his excitement at the start of the Premier League season which kicked off earlier today.
The North London based side kick-off their league campaign with a London derby against West Ham United in their opening game of the 2015-16 season.
Özil posted a selfie in his car on Instagram along with the caption, “Today BPL started… Tomorrow is our turn to kick start our season… On my way to join the team… #YaGunnersYa #Ozil #özil.”
The Gunners have beaten West Ham in their last ten head to heads and will be looking to get off to a winning start this season.

Özil provided nine assists and five goals in 32 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions last season. The 26-year-old played a staring role during Arsenal’s pre-season and has been tipped as a candidate for player of the year by manager Arsene Wenger.
