Japanese side FC Tokyo have been linked with a shock move for Galatasaray playmaker Wesley Sneijder according to Japanese sports site Nikkan Sports.
Sneijder has been linked with a move away from Galatasaray following a pay dispute and being left out of the starting line-up in last weeks clash against Kasimpasa.
According to the report FC Tokyo are on the hunt for high profile names with Barcelona’s Xavi and Diego Forlan being the other two names on the shortlist.
The 30-year-old midfielder has scored three goals in 12 games for Galatasaray this season.
Manchester United have also been linked with a January move for Sneijder.
FC Tokyo sit in seventh place in the Japanese J-League with 46 points in 31 games.
