Flares cast a shadow over a great game says Jurgen Klopp [divider]
Jurgen Klopp feels the flare incident during Borussia Dortmund’s 4-1 win over Galatasaray cast a shadow over a great game of football.
“This is frustrating and creates a bad image. It casts a bit of a shadow over an otherwise great game,” Klopp said.
“I am not going to say, ‘our fans would never do such a thing’, this was a pure provocation.
“If Galatasaray were ahead I doubt they would have done this.
“I can’t believe they got these flares in with all the security, it is shocking.”

The game was briefly halted on 52 minutes when a flare was thrown onto the pitch from the Galatasaray section preventing Dortmund from taking the corner.
The match was halted again towards the end of the 90 minutes when flares were hurled into the Dortmund fans section.
The Lions were recently fined by UEFA for a similar incident in the 4-1 defeat to Arsenal.
