Toronto FC have joined the race to sign Galatasaray’s Wesley Sneijder according to Turkish sports website Ajansspor.
Sneijder has been linked with a move away from Galatasaray following a pay dispute. The 30-year-old was also left out of the starting XI which faced Kasimpasa last weekend.
The MLS side have spent over €15 million in the past 12 months and are looking to add both Sneijder and Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard to their squad.
However, in a recent interview Sneijder refuted rumours linking him away from Galatasaray.
Speaking to NIS, the Netherlands international said, “I do not have problem with Galatasaray, if there was a problem I would speak about it.
“I am very happy here and will not be leaving.”
Sneijder has scored three goals in 12 games for Galatasaray this season.
