Trabzonspor drew 1-1 with Lokeren in the Europa League Group L game played November 6 2014.
Abdul Majeed Waris scored the equaliser and impressed scouts watching the game.
The goal was Waris’ first for Trabzonspor since joining the Black Sea storm for €6 million in the summer from Russian oufit Spartak Moscow.
Trabzonspor CEO Burak Gürdal recently confirmed that Manchester United are keeping tabs on the Ghanaian international.
“We have not have any direct offers however, we know Manchester United are scouting Waris and keeping close tabs on him,” Gürdal said.
“Not just Waris, we have a few players being closely watched.
“We only signed Waris two-months ago and are not interested in selling right now but you never know what will happen in the future.”
Waris was named the Swedish top flight’s best player in 2012, after finishing as the league’s top scorer with 23 goals in 29 appearances for Hacken.
The highly rated Ghanian international joined Spartak Moscow in 2013 and spent last season on loan at Ligue 1 outfit Valenciennes where he found the back of the net 10 times as well as providing five assists in 21 appearances.
