Beşiktaş midfielder Veli Kavlak has replaced injured Bayern Munich star David Alaba in the Austria national team.
Austria manager Marcel Koller has called up Kavlak for the international against Brazil and the European Championship 2016 qualifier against Russia.
Alaba has been ruled out for several weeks following knee surgery on Friday, following Bayern’s 2-0 win against Roma in the Champions League.
Kavlak will represent Austria for the first time since March.
The 25-year-old midfielder has played 30 times for Austria since his debut in 2007 and has only scored once.
Kavlak was born in Austria but is also a Turkish citizen through his parents.
The Austrian international joined Beşiktaş for £600,000 from Rapid Vienna in 2011 and has seven goals and 14 assists in 123 appearances for the Black Eagles.
Austria plays Russia in Vienna next Saturday, and will face Brazil at the same stadium just three days later.
Austria are currently first in Group G, two points ahead of Russia and Sweden.
