Besiktas are set to make an offer for Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta according to the Radikal newspaper.
The report claims that the Black Eagles have already entered talks with Arsenal over a potential transfer for the midfielder.
Arteta still has a year left on his contract but may struggle to get an extension due to his advancing age.
The Spanish international is 33 and the Gunners rarely give lengthy contract renewals for players over the age of 30.
The Istanbul giants are also reported to be in talks with Liverpool over Lucas Leiva.
Leiva is keen on a move to Turkey according to the football agent Ahmet Bulut.
Bulut who also represents Arda Turan is involved in negotiations between Besiktas and Liverpool.
“The player is keen on a move to Turkey, in my opinion the move is close to completion,” Bulut told Radyospor.
The Black Eagles have made a loan offer for Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva according to NTV Spor. The Black Eagles are in need of a central midfielder following long-term injuries to Veli Kavlak and Tolgay Arslan.
