Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has spoken about Mesut Ozil’s road to recovery following his injury last month.
The 26-year-old sustained a knee injury sustained in Arsenal’s defeat against Chelsea.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference Wenger provided an update on Arsenal’s longer-term absentees. “Debuchy, Ospina and Özil are progressing very well.”
“But of course they are not available before or straight after the international break,” the Arsenal manager added.
The former Real Madrid manager has made nine appearances for Arsenal this season but came under fire from sections of the press following a string of poor performances.
Özil joined Arsenal in September 2013 from Real Madrid for £42.5 million.
