Fatih Terim refused to resolve Töre issue says Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller [divider]
Turkish national team manager Fatih Terim has not resolved the situation between Gökhan Töre and Bayer Leverkusen duo Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Ömer Toprak according to Rudi Voller.
Bayer sporting director Voller said Terim did not respond when they asked for the issue to be sorted out and that the experienced coach has left all sides disappointed.
“We invited Fatih Terim to try and resolve this on going problem but he did not even respond,” Voller told Fanatik.
“There is nothing else for us to say, we tried everything to get through to him but now all sides have been left disappointed.
“We wanted to try and sort out the problem so that all parties could come to an agreement and move forwards but this did not happen.
“We are not going to try anymore, we tried everything but nobody seemed interested.”
Terim caused controversy when he decided to drop Toprak and Çalhanoğlu while calling up Töre.
Töre’s friend allegedly pulled a gun on Toprak and Çalhanoğlu. All this happened while Töre was having a fist fight with Toprak’s friend.
Turkey are currently last in Euro 2016 qualification Group A with one point.
