Liverpool star Emre Can has opted to play for the Germany national team according to Eurosport.
The report states that Can is set to accept Joachim Löw’s international call-up to the German national team. The German newspaper Bild claim that the former Bayer Leverkusen man is set to make an appearance for the World Cup winners.
The tabloid newspaper states that Can will be called out for Germany’s clashes with Poland and Scotland in September.
Can currently has the option to play for the Turkish national team however, the young midfielder has played over 15 games for Germany at a youth level.
The 21-year-old features in Germany u21’s European Championship campaign in the Czech Republic earlier this summer. Can scored a goal in his sides opening game and provided an assist in the second group game.
The Reds have the chance to move into first place in the Premier League when they take on West Ham United this weekend.
