Galatasaray want Amrabat to return from Malaga [divider]
Galatasaray board member Abdurrahim Albayrak wants Nordin Amrabat to return to Istanbul after his loan deal with Malaga comes to an end.
“We have a number of players who are doing well abroad,” Albayrak said.
“When Amrabat arrived I gave him his number 53 shirt and when he returns I will give his 53 shirt back to him again.”
Malaga however, are considering an offer for the Moroccan international and believe that Amrabat is happy at the club according to general manager Vincente Casado.
“Amrabat is a player we have been trying to sign since last season,” Casado said.
“We have traveled to Istanbul five times to try and sign him and will try again in January.
“However, it is tough negotiating with the Turks.
“We want Amrabat to stay here.”
Amrabat joined Galatasaray from Kayserispor in July 2012 for €8.6 million and still has three-years remaining on his contract.
The Moroccan international joined Malaga on loan after failing to impress at Galatasaray.
The 27-year-old winger has three assists and three goals in his last five league games and was named in Marca’s October La Liga Team of the Month.
