Leicester City new transfer Gokhan Inler has stated that he enjoys the physical nature of the English game.
“I like the duels, the fighting, Italian football is very tactical. The Premier League is one of the best,” Inler was quoted as saying by the BBC.
“Referees in England don’t sometimes whistle and I like that more. In Italy they whistle all the time.”
Inler made his second appearance for Leicester in the 1-1 draw against Bournemouth on the weekend.
The Swiss international joined the Premier League outfit for a reported £5 million transfer fee despite interest from Bundesliga outfit Schalke and Turkish giants Beşiktaş.
Leicester have gotten off to a flying start in the League with two wins and two draws in their opening three games. The Foxes have won 29 Premier League points since April 1st 2015; more than any other side.
Inler’s side host Aston Villa at the King Power stadium in the next round of games which take place after the international break.
