The Reds will take on Ligue 1 side Bordeaux, Russian giants Rubin Kazan and Swiss side FC Sion in Group B of the competition.
Emre Can has been selected in the Europa League squad and in what will be his second consecutive season in the competition.
Liverpool reached the Round of 32 last season but were knocked out on penalties against Turkish Super League side Beşiktaş.
The Reds take on Bordeaux in their opening game on 17 September at the Stade Bordeaux-Atlantique.
