Arsenal star Mesut Özil will start in his favoured attacking midfield role for Germany against Poland in their Euro 2016 Group D qualification game.
Özil was part of the Germany national team side that won the World Cup in Brazil last summer.
The 26-year-old was a doubt going into the game having missed Arsenal’s clash with Newcastle United in the Premier League last week.
The Arsenal playmaker picked up a minor-knee injury but has made a full recovery and will start from the get go.
Germany are currently second in the group one point behind Poland but will overtake their opponents with a win in Frankfurt.
Özil is one of two players in the starting line-up of Turkish origin with the other being Liverpool youngster Emre Can.
Turkey had three players born in Germany in their starting XI yesterday – Hakan Balta, Gökhan Töre and Hakan Çalhanoğlu.
