Emre Can has stated that he is ready to take on on more responsibility this season after adapting to life in Liverpool.
The Germany international also stated that his English is improving and that he has matured as a player since joining form Bayer Leverkusen last season.
“I’m ready to take more responsibility as I’m in my second season. My English is improving and I’ve matured as a player,” Can told Liverpool FC.
“Playing in midfield means you have to take more responsibility. That means I want to score more goals and help the team to get results.”
Can started his second consecutive game for the Germany national team – against Scotland at right-back yesterday. The former Bayer Leverkusen man has however spent this season in his favoured midfield position for Liverpool.
The 21-year-old joined the Reds on a £9.75 million transfer from Bayer Leverkusen last summer
Can has featured in all four Liverpool Premier League games this season and is expected to play against Manchester United next at Old Trafford after the international break.
