Mesut Özil is expected to be fit for Arsenal’s clash with Stoke City in the Premier League this weekend.
The 26-year-old missed the Gunners game against Newcastle before the international break. The North London based side secured a 1-0 victory in Özil’s absence.
Arsenal fans feared the worst when the club confirmed that Özil had sustained a knee injury as the former Real Madrid man missed three months of football last season with a knee injury.
However, Özil recovered briskly and played 90 minutes in both of Germany’s Euro 2016 qualification games against Poland and Scotland.
Germany sit at the top of Group D with 19 points in eight games but are yet to secure their place at next summers competition.
The 2014 World Cup winners take on Ireland and Georgia in their final two games of the group stages in October.
Özil return from injury will be a boost to Arsenal fans. The Gunners were the only club from the top five European leagues not to sign an outfield player during the summer transfer window.
